Comments : |
2nd-cal yr. Identified as a sinensis-type on the extent of the gular pouch, the most consistent difference between carbo and sinensis in all plumages. This bird is ringed and amazingly, the number is concurrent with that of another ringed sinensis-type present at Rosslare Europort in February of this year, indicating that they are siblings! What's most intruiging, howeve, is that they were hatched on Little Saltee Island, Co. Wexford, where an adult sinensis-type was observed in June.
